Palatina è una lampada da terra che si  ispira allo stile cosmatesco delle pavimentazioni della omonima cappella a Palermo.  La sfera di marmo alla base costituisce l’elemento stilistico principale che rimanda appunto alle decorazioni marmoree pavimentali in uso nel basso medioevo in Europa. L’apparecchio, definito nella parte superiore da uno stelo in fibra di carbonio, diffonde la luce verso l’alto. Questo permette di illuminare in modo ottimale soffitti affrescati e particolari architettonici di pregio. L’utilizzo di led  con tecnologia “bianco dinamico” consente di gestire intensità e variare la temperatura della luce, adattandola all’occorrenza agli ambienti e alle ore della giornata. L’emissione luminosa può essere variata  attraverso un telecomando oppure da sistemi di controllo di tipo domotico, il led utilizzato permette un consumo energetico di appena 26 watt emettendo luce solo nello spettro del visibile, evitando quindi la gamma infrarossa che danneggia le opere pittoriche e musive. Palatina è anche dotata di un semplice interruttore off/on che accende e spegne l’intero sistema conservando tuttavia, l’ultima impostazione scelta per la luce, Il comando si attiva spingendo verso il basso l’asta in carbonio L’impiego di materiali pregiati fanno di Palatina una lampada da terra adatta a diversi tipi di arredamenti e stili, da quello più moderno ad ambienti più ricercati come quelli di importanza storica.

Palatina is a floor lamp inspired by the cosmatesque style of the flooring of the homonymous chapel in Palermo. The marble sphere at the base is the main stylistic element that refers precisely to the marble floor decorations used in the late Middle Ages in Europe. The device is defined at the top by a carbon fiber stem that diffuses the light upwards. This allows you to optimally illuminate frescoed ceilings and valuable architectural details. The use of LEDs with “dynamic white” technology allows you to manage intensity and vary the temperature of the light, adapting it if necessary to the rooms and times of the day. The light emission can be varied through a remote control or from home automation control systems, the LED used (max 2800 lm) allows an energy consumption of just 26 watts emitting light only in the visible spectrum, thus avoiding the infrared range that damages pictorial and mosaic works. Palatina is also equipped with a simple off-on switch that turns the entire system on and/off while retaining the last setting chosen for the light. The control is activated by pushing the carbon rod downwards. The use of precious materials make palatina a floor lamp suitable for different types of furnishings and styles, from the most modern to more refined environments such as those of historical importance.
